Education is a cornerstone for a success in school and work and for a rewarding life. People who have a higher educational level have a greater possibility of earning more and are less likely to face financial hardship in their adult lives and in their old age.  Education benefits the community: people with a higher earning potential contribute more to their local economies and are more engaged in their communities.

Immigrant Latinos face the double challenge of not being fluent in English and not knowing how to navigate the U.S.' business culture. Many of the newcomers are not financially literate. According to statistics of the Consulate General of Mexico in Dallas, only 4% of Mexicans in North Texas have a bank account. 


USA AMEP Foundation and its sister organization AMEP Dallas is providing financial education classes since January 2018.
